Top 5 topics to study for the CCNP Routing & Switching Exam

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), certification is the profession level for the prestigious CCIE Certification. Similar to CCNA certifications, CCNP certification is also available in eight tracks, including routing and switching, security, voice/collaboration, and voice/collaboration. CCNP R&S certification opens up new opportunities in the worlds of networking. There are three modules in CCNP Routing & Switching certification: Routing, Switching, and T-shoot. This post will help prepare you for the CCNP Routing & Switching exam.
1. EIGRP Advertised Distance and Feasible Distance
It is one of the most important topics you need to study for CCNP R&S. If you want to take the CCNP exam, you will need to have a good understanding of enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol. Students are most confused about the concepts of feasible distance and advertised distance. Advertised Distance (AD), is an EIGRP measure from the given neighbor device, to destination router, whereas Feasible distance (FP) refers to the specific device. There are many other points that need to be considered. You can also check out online videos and study material. This is the next topic, but it is very important and difficult. OSPF LSAs stands for Open Shortest Path First Links State Advertisements. This topic is important for students' understanding of Stub areas. There are many types of Link State Advertising. LSA Type 1 and LSA Type 2 are the most common types of LSAs you should cover when preparing for the exam. LSA Type 3 and LSA Type 4 are the most common LSAs. LSA Type 5.3 is the least common. OSPF Stub Areas
OSPF Stub Areas is another important topic that you should focus on when preparing for the CCNP examination. OSPF Stub Areas as well as OSPF LSAs are interrelated topics, so you must have a good understanding of both. There are three types OSPF Stub Areas. As a CCNP candidate, you will need to have a good understanding of these topics. You must know the difference between the three types of OSPF Stub Areas you are required to cover: Totally Stubby, Stub, and Not So Stubby. You must be able to distinguish between the three. Redistribution
Redistribution is the fourth topic that is important from the point-of-view of examination. It is a very simple topic. Redistribution is the process of moving protocols from one network to another. Redistribution is simply the act of distributing a protocol from one OSPF network into another OSPF network. Before appearing for the examination, you must thoroughly prepare the topic. Talk to your CCNP trainer for a detailed understanding of the topic. Download the PDF Top 5 Topics to Prepare for CCNP Routing & Switching Exam
