MRM Romania - Agency of the Year at Internetics 2025. NETFLIX is the Digital Client of the Year | 27 November 2025

Internetics, a project presented by The Institute, announced its winners during the Internetics 2025 Awards Gala, hosted by Andi Moisescu on November 27 at MINA Museum. It was a truly special edition, in which the festival celebrated 25 years of recognizing digital ideas and accompanying every technological transformation that has changed the way we communicate.

The evening was enriched with anniversary moments and recollections of the most important achievements from the last 25 years, featuring special guests who have shaped both the past and present of Internetics. Among them were: Anda Lazăr (Internetics 2025 juror and Brand Manager UniCredit Bank), Andrei Borțun (Founder of Internetics & CEO The Institute), Bogdan Nițu (Webstyler – the agency most frequently awarded Agency of the Year), Codin Caradimu (CAP, creators of the visual identity at the launch of Internetics), George Vintilă (the first Gala MC, in 2001), Marius Deak (Green Pixel – the first agency to win the Grand Prix Internetics) and Monica Jitariuc (Internetics 2025 juror and communication expert).

During the gala, MRM Romania was named Agency of the Year 2025, with a total of 6 trophies (3 Gold, 2 Silver and Best Digital Campaign) and 4 nominations. The title of Digital Client of the Year 2025 went to Netflix Romania, which received 5 trophies (4 Gold and 1 Silver) and 1 nomination.

Under the anniversary message Internetics, since web 1.0, this year’s edition was an invitation to reflection and celebration—a journey through the collective digital memory of the marcomm industry. The competition has grown along with the local industry, and today it recognizes excellence in the following sections: websites, mobile, social media platforms, digital branded content, digital brand experiences, gamification, and digital campaigns improving communities and lives.

This year’s edition granted a total of 38 trophies, including 11 Gold and 24 Silver, alongside the special awards for Best Digital Campaign, Agency of the Year, and Digital Client of the Year.

The winners’ list includes 11 agencies, confirming the diversity and complexity of Romania’s digital industry: Cohn & Jansen Creative Network, DDB Romania, Digitas, Friends TBWA, Heist Industries, Jam Session Agency, Leo Burnett, MRM Romania, Ogilvy, Oxygen, and Saatchi & Saatchi + The Geeks.

 
TOP 3 AGENCIES
 
The top of the awarded agencies is led by MRM Romania, followed by Jam Session Agency, with DDB Romania and Saatchi & Saatchi + The Geeks tied for third place.

MRM Romania earned the highest score and was named Agency of the Year thanks to a strong portfolio of campaigns with excellent results for clients such as Netflix and Lidl. It is the agency’s 6th title, after previous wins in 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2020.

The winning projects from this year’s edition are:

  • Squid Game 2 – Squid Dilemma – Gold in Influencer Marketing + nomination in Gamification (Netflix)
  • Squid Game 2 – Christmas takeover – Silver in Art, Culture, Media and Entertainment (Netflix)
  • Lidl – In-Fridge Promo – Gold in Retail, Silver in Internetics Digital for Good, Best Digital Campaign and nomination in Online Single Video
  • Lidl – Home Chef Academy – nominations in Online Video Series and Retail

Jam Session Agency won 6 trophies this year, supported by creative projects for Netflix, Veka România, Carrefour, and Storia.

DDB Romania received 4 trophies and 2 nominations with projects for McDonald’s, Bitdefender, and the Coalition for Gender Equality.
  • Nothing Great Came From the First Try – Silver in Restaurants + nomination in Influencer Marketing (McDonald’s)
  • Inner Alerts – Gold in Best Single Video, Silver in Internetics Digital for Good (Bitdefender)
  • Bills of Contraception – Silver in Social Campaigns + nomination in Online Single Video (Coalition for Gender Equality)

Equally ranked, Saatchi & Saatchi + The Geeks completed the top with 4 trophies and 1 nomination for the following projects:
  • The Magnum Crack Hunt – Gold in Best Community Engagement, Gold in Gamification, Silver in FMCG – Food
  • Restart Stories – Silver in Art, Culture, Media and Entertainment + nomination in Internetics Digital for Good (Nemira)
 
TOP 3 CLIENTS RESULTS

At the top of the clients ranking is NETFLIX Romania, followed by Lidl Romania, with Valvis Holding in third place.

Netflix won the Internetics 2025 title of Digital Client of the Year with a total of 4 Gold trophies, one Silver, and one nomination in the categories Best Community Engagement, Influencer Marketing, Viral Video, Online Single Video, Gamification, and Art, Culture, Media and Entertainment. This is Netflix’s second time receiving this title, the first being in 2022.

Lidl Romania collected 1 Gold trophy, three Silver trophies, and three nominations in the categories Best Community Engagement, Online Single Video, Online Video Series, Retail, Social Media Pages, and Internetics Digital for Good. Lidl was also awarded Best Digital Campaign for the project In-Fridge Promo.

Valvis Holding received 4 trophies in total: two Gold and two Silver in the categories Online Single Video, FMCG-Drinks, Digital Brand Experience, and Act and React.
 
 
SPECIAL AWARDS
The evening began, as tradition dictates, with the special awards presented by YouTube. Aneta Pleșa – Industry Manager, Google – took the stage to present two awards in the anniversary spirit of the event. The first prize involved a live voting session, bringing to the public’s attention a retrospective of three high-performing campaigns on the platform’s leaderboard and placing them directly in the race for the Public’s Choice YouTube Leaderboard 1.0 title, which was won by Nu știi când te lovește ghinionul (2018) for CatMobile.ro, created by the creative agency Sector 7 Hub. Additionally, YouTube awarded the title Brand of The Year on YouTube to Regina Maria, and the Special Prize Trăiască Capra Vecinului was given by VML Romania to Squid Game 2 – Stock Liquidation, for NETFLIX, created by MRM Romania.

For the 25th consecutive year, Internetics spotlighted the best campaigns, projects, and initiatives among the entries submitted. With the support of a jury made up of 119 specialists in marketing, online communication, research experts, media professionals, and independent consultants, the Awards Gala offered recognition, applause, and optimism for the future of the industry. This year's edition attracted 111 entries from 23 agencies, associations, and companies, representing 44 brands and NGOs.
