During the Awarding Gala of Internetics 2020 which took place on 13th of October exclusively online, in the video game Minecraft, in a replica of the Romanian Athenaeum, the contestants were awarded with 24 trophies: 10 Gold, 11 Silver and 1 Grand Prix.
MRM Romania was granted with the Agency of the Year title, with 7 trophies won and other 3 nominations. The Digital Client of the Year Trophy, chosen based on the highest score and number of trophies won in the competition’s categories, went this year to KFC Romania, due to 4 Gold trophies and other 2 nominations.
At Internetics 2020 got on stage a total of 15 agencies and companies awarded: 50s Digital, Cheil Centrade România, Dume de Mestecat & 441 Design Studio, GMP+WEBSTYLER, Jazz Communication, Kubis, Leo Burnett, MRM, MSL The Practice/ Publicis România, Porter Novelli Public Relations, Saatchi & Saatchi + The Geeks, SmartPoint Consulting and Tremend Software & Softeh Plus.
Based on the score they got through the number of trophies won and nominations, the top 3 of the most awarded agencies are: 1. MRM; 2. Leo Burnett; 3. GMP+WEBSTYLER.
The top of the clients looks like this: 1. KFC Romania; 2. Kandia Dulce (2 Gold, 1 nomination and 1 Grand Prix); 3. Rompetrol (1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 nomination).
MRM Romania won trophies for: “ROM – Toma Corunt for president” (Grand Prix in Digital Campaigns category and Gold in FMCG – Foods section in the same category, plus 1 Gold trophy in Online Branded Content section), “KFC - The Croppers” (2 Gold trophies in Online Branded Content and Retail sections and 1 Nominee in Digital Brand Experience) and “KFC - Killer Discounts” (2 Gold throphies in Digital Brand Experience and Retail sections and 1 Nominee in Gamification). The agency has also a Nominee in Social Media Pages section for ROM – Facebook page.
Leo Burnett’s rewarded works were: “#TimeToRead” for Curtea Veche Association, which won a Silver trophy in Influencer Marketing section and 1 Nominee in Social campaigns, political and awareness messages. Along with Ursus Breweries, the agency won in the FMCG – Drinks section 1 Silver for "Epic Birthday" and 1 Nominee for "Ursus Retro Music Battle".
GMP+WEBSTYLER won with the “Rompetrol Stay” project 1 Gold in Gamification, 1 Silver in Mobile Campaigns section and 1 Nominee in Retail.
The other projects awarded with Gold trophies are: “The Last of Us Part II Launch Campaign” for Viral Video // SmartPoint Consulting & PlayStation; “A Fearless World” in Influencer Marketing // Save the Children NGO & Kubis; “Valentine’s Day for Unofficial Relationships” in Viral Non Video // Burger King & MSL The Practice/ Publicis Romania.
The competition also brought in attention several special prizes, as follows:
· The Special Prize of the Jury – Best Use of Technology: „KFC – Killer Discounts” from MRM Romania for KFC;
· The Youtube Special Prize - YOUTUBE ADS LEADERBOARD, for „The Last of Us Part II Launch Campaign” from SmartPoint Consulting;
· BEST YOUTUBE AD | People's Choice Award, given to În familie facem mereu loc. Meriți să fii surprins signed by MullenLowe, following the people’s votes present at the Internetics 2020 Gala;
· The Agency of the Year, supported by UniCredit Bank: MRM Romania;
· Digital Client of the Year: this year the trophy was offered to KFC Romania.
· The Special Trophy – Long Live the Neighbour’s Goat! goes to the Last of Us Part II Launch Campaign by SmartPoint Consulting for PalyStation.

Another unique element of the Internetics 2020 Anniversary Gala were the trophies offered. In addition to the digital trophies, handed out virtually in Minecraft, Internetics also offers physical trophies made of recycled plastic, accordingly to the PlastiPrix initiative, created by The Institute and Lidl Romania.
